WEST REDDING, Conn. — Sandella's, the 125-plus-unit flatbread fast-casual chain, secured the 301st spot on the annual Restaurant and Institution's Top 400 Chain Restaurants list.
The ranking comes on the heels of a nationwide expansion effort and partnership with Fransmart, an Alexandria, Va.-based franchise-development company. Sandella's has signed franchising deals in Nevada, California, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Texas. The company expects these deals to bring in more than 175 new restaurants.
Also named the seventh-fastest growing concept according to Restaurant Business Magazine, Sandella's offers grilled panini, sandwiches, grilled flatbreads and quesadillas — all made with its own flatbread, which is kosher and contains only one gram of fat.
