Cosi reported Thursday that system-wide comparable restaurant sales are down for the second quarter of 2015.

Cosi reported Thursday that system-wide comparable restaurant sales are down for the second quarter of 2015. It reported an aggregate decline of -0.4 percent as compared to the second quarter of 2014.

"We continue to see sales momentum in the markets where we have fully deployed the Hearthstone operating model," said RJ Dourney, Cosi president and CEO.  "We are staying the course and being relentless in the roll out of our strategy system wide. We remain confident in our ability to deliver our plan in the second half of the year."

He also addressed the franchisee comparative sales. "I also remain confident in the progress we have made to improve the profitability of our franchise system.  At the same time, we have put a full court press on the three outlier units to address the unique circumstances surrounding the performance of these locations," he said.
