Salata, a salad fast casual restaurant, is opening its first location in Baytown, Texas on June 2. The first 50 guests on opening day will receive a free small salad or wrap, according to a press release.
This is the 54th Salata location in Texas. During the opening, the fast casual will offer prizes such as coupons, koozies, cups and pens to customers. Salata plans to donate a portion of the proceeds from the grand opening to the Harris County Sheriff's Office Foundation in memory of Baytown's Assistant Chief Deputy Clint Greenwood.
"We are grateful for businesses like Salata that strive to give back to our community," Rick David, city manager, Baytown, said in the release. "Chief Greenwood was a huge part of our team and we are thankful to have the opportunity to salute his service by raising funds for the foundation during Salata's grand opening. The Sheriff's Office is critical to making Baytown a safe place to live, work and play."
The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the restaurant will open at 11 a.m., according to the release.
