Saladworks opened this month inside the Giant Food Store in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, at 3310 Trindle Road.
The brand's move to open restaurants within grocery chains and other non-traditional venues began in early 2019, when Saladworks opened its first in-store location in ShopRite of Island Avenue in Philadelphia. To date, Saladworks has restaurants in five ShopRite stores and one Fresh Grocer, with several more in development throughout the country, according to a company press release.
"At Saladworks, we always want to fuel our guests' originality by providing fresh, flavorful and healthy dining options for any meal occasion. This is especially important in the 'new normal' we are experiencing in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic," Mark Mears, CMO of Saladworks, said in the release "Our Saladworks restaurants located within grocery stores allow us to do exactly that and represent a unique growth opportunity for our brand as well."
In addition to in-store orders, the location offers shoppers the option to order online through the Saladworks website or by calling ahead for pickup. Shoppers may also have their Saladworks orders delivered using third-party delivery partners like DoorDash, GrubHub, and Uber Eats.
Saladworks has100 locations across 18 states and two countries.
