Salads highlight Newk’s summer menu

Newk’s Eatery’s summer menu will feature a trio of salads available for a limited time. According to a news release, the brand will reintroduce last summer’s popular Red, White and Blueberry Salad as the headliner of its expanded summer salad menu, which also include a Newk’s Southern Salad and Triple Take Salad.

“The flavor profiles of the carefully-selected market fresh produce that goes into each of our summer salads complement each other and create entrees that are colorful and delicious,” said Alan Wright, vice president of marketing and franchise operations. “Our fresh tossed salads are made-to-order in our open-view kitchens and we top them with scratch-made dressings.”

The salads feature:

  • Newk’s Red White and Blueberry Salad is made of spinach topped with grilled chicken, strawberries, blueberries and watermelon, pecans, feta cheese, and is dressed with a fat-free raspberry vinaigrette.
  • The Triple Take Salad includes mixed greens topped with a trio of chicken salad, pasta salad and fruit.
  • Newk’s Southern Salad is a bed of mixed greens topped with chicken salad, grape tomatoes and croutons with a choice of dressing.
