Rock N Roll Sushi is about to take the stage with its first location in Northwest Arkansas.
Opening Monday at 1777 MLK Blvd., in Fayetteville, the restaurant is just west of the University of Arkansas campus. It's the sixth location in the state — joining Benton, Conway, Little Rock-Chenal, Little Rock-Soma and North Little Rock — and the 70th restaurant systemwide.
Doug Burnett, Chris Delre and Bobby Stevens of BCD Investments Inc., with Tim Jones serving as operating partner, are behind the opening. The team, which also owns several Firehouse Subs locations, will grow its Rock N Roll Sushi portfolio in Northwest Arkansas but hasn't determined the number of restaurants it will open.
"We're so excited to bring a great young brand like Rock N Roll Sushi to Northwest Arkansas," Delre said in the release. "When we tried the sushi, it was fantastic — and the Americanized spin really hit home for us. All of us dig the vibe of Rock N Roll Sushi, and we're all fans of the rock-and-roll lifestyle. Bringing that vibe to Fayetteville, the city with the very cool motto 'Regnat Populus — The people rule' — is a no-brainer!"
Rock N Roll Sushi was founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife duo Lance and Gerri Mach Hallmark in Mobile, Alabama.
