Rock N' Roll Sushi, the Mobile, Alabama-founded dining concept known for its American-style rolls and loud atmosphere, expanded its footprint in its home state Monday with the opening of a location in Oxford.
Located at 254 Oxford Exchange Blvd., near Target and Interstate 20, the restaurant marks the brand's first entry into Oxford and its 21st location in Alabama. The franchise is owned and operated by local partners Kris Roberts and Neal Gibbs.
"Alabama is where Rock N' Roll Sushi was born, so opening in Oxford feels like adding another track to a hometown album," Roberts said in a company press release. "We can't wait to give the community a restaurant that feels like a backstage pass — loud, welcoming and one-of-a-kind."
The menu features the chain's signature Sushi Amplified dishes, including hibachi-style entrees and rolls with names like "Headliners" and "Opening Acts." Management noted that the location will open without alcohol service initially, with a full bar program scheduled to roll out at a later date.
The brand, which launched more than a decade ago inside a mall, has since grown to more than 75 locations across the Southeast.
The Oxford location is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
