Premium smoothie and juice franchise Robeks is taking its cues from the harvest schedule as it rolls out four fresh seasonal menu items for fall, according to a company press release.
Starting Oct. 14, the company's more than 100 locations will feature new fresh-squeezed, raw juices and a raw smoothie that use grapes and kiwi. Both fruits are in season, so they are at their peak in terms of both flavor and nutrition, said CEO Steve Davidson.
"Robeks customers want food that is fresh and at its absolute peak, and these seasonal menu items let us bring our customers as close to the fields as possible," he said. "Robeks never uses preservatives, so we often freeze ripe fruits and vegetables to preserve flavor and nutrition. The great thing about seasonal items is that they don't even need to be frozen — they are as fresh as if you had picked them off the vine yourself."
