Rise Southern Biscuits, Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream making Orlando debuts

Miami-based Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream and North Carolina-based Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken have set their sites on the Orlando area with stores coming soon in Winter Park.

Located at 1100 S. Orlando Ave., Chill-N will open Saturday under the direction of franchisee Christopher Wirth, who plans to open a second location in Lake Nona. Rise will enter the Florida market Sept. 9 at 110 S. Orlando Ave., in Winter Park, marking the 19th Rise location nationwide.

Spearheading Rise's Orlando emergence is master franchisee Don Schnurr, who will open a second store (55 N. Rosalind Ave.) by year's end as well as a third in 2024.

Recently named to Fast Casual's 2023 Top 100 Movers & Shakers list, Rise is partnered with Fransmart to help fuel growth.

"Chill-N has established itself as a legacy brand in Miami with a proven track record of success, so we wanted to take what the concept has already perfected and bring it to a new market in Florida. Not to mention, the ice cream is smoother than anything you've ever tasted before."

Since opening its first location in the Village of Pinecrest in Miami 10 years ago, Chill-N has developed over a dozen locations throughout Florida, Texas and Tennessee, and will enter its fourth state later this year with the opening of a shop in Bluffton, South Carolina.
