Rise Biscuits & Donuts opens first franchise

Rise Biscuits & Donuts, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, opened its first franchised location in Morrisville, North Carolina.

Rise Biscuits & Donuts, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, has opened its first franchised location in Morrisville, North Carolina, according to a company press release.

The Morrisville location, run by franchisee Ty Gwennap, debuted in late August to a strong customer response and free donuts were doled out the day before its grand opening.  It is the first of six locations (both franchise and corporate stores) that are set to open in the area in the coming months, according to the release.

Since launching a franchise program in 2014 with Fransmart, the brand has 11 stores in development in North Carolina, which will more than triple its existing presence in the area with the opening of its next four stores, according to the release.

Rise Biscuits & Donuts was founded in November 2012.
