Red Mango launching expanded concept in Austin

Austin, Tex., Resident James McIntire is Red Mango's latest franchise owner to introduce the brand's Red Mango Yogurt Café with Smoothie Factory Juice Bar concept in Texas, according to a company press release.

McIntire's first unit will open in Spring 2014 at 3401 S. Lamar in the 704 Apartments. His second location will open in Austin later this year. The expanded concept, which Red Mango is rolling out nationwide, will serve fresh cold-squeezed juices, Smoothie Factory smoothies and nutrition boots, and cafe meals under 500 calories in addition to the brand's signature frozen yogurt and parfaits.

"I am very excited to bring a healthy brand I truly believe in to such an active city like Austin," said McIntire. "As part of the bicycling community here, I know it can be hard to find a satisfying meal or treat you can sit and enjoy or take with you on the go. I love that Red Mango offers such a diverse menu with great probiotics and all natural ingredients to encourage a healthy lifestyle."

The existing Red Mango location at 2222 Rio Grande #C120 also is going to be remodeled to be a Red Mango Yogurt Café with Smoothie Factory Juice Bar and will serve the expanded menu in May 2014, according to the release.
