Rapper helping Zaxbys intro Lemon Pepper Wings

Atlanta-based Zaxbys is entering the dry rub market for the first time with the launch of its Lemon Pepper offerings, available for a limited time. To celebrate, the chicken chain is partnering with Atlanta music artist Quavo to surprise Zax Rewards members with free Lemon Pepper traditional wings.

"Lemon Pepper's a Georgia staple, just like Zaxbys," Quavo said in a company press release. "I'm proud to team up with them as they step into the dry rub game. We're giving out free wings so everyone can taste what the South's really about."

Quavo has released an exclusive code via Zaxbys social media channels; the first 5,000 Zax Rewardz members who use the code will receive a free 5-count order of Lemon Pepper traditional wings. This offer is valid through July 13 and may be redeemed by downloading the Zaxbys app and creating a Zax Rewardz account.

"At Zaxbys flavor innovation is part of who we are — and with Lemon Pepper's deep Georgia roots and huge cultural following, we're proud to deliver our take on the flavor, worthy of the hype," Patrick Schwing, ZaxbysCMO, said in the release.

In addition to traditional wings, Zaxbys Lemon Pepper seasoning will be available on other menu items, including:

• Wings & Things: A mix of 5 Lemon Pepper traditional or boneless wings, plus 3 Chicken Fingerz, with Zax Sauce, crinkle fries, Texas toast, ranch sauce and a small drink (average price $13.90).
• Chicken Fingerz Plate: 4 Lemon Pepper hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz, crinkle fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, ranch sauce and a small drink (average price $11.90).
• Traditional Wings Meal: 5 Lemon Pepper Traditional Wings, crinkle fries, Texas toast, ranch sauce and a small drink (average price $11.00).
• Lemon Pepper Sandwich Meal: A Lemon Pepper seasoned fillet on a toasted bun with crinkle fries and a small drink (average price $10.80).
