Quaker Steak & Lube will develop a new restaurant at Cedar Point amusement park/resort, according to a company release. The restaurant opens next month, marking the 18th location in Ohio and creating nearly 125 jobs for the Sandusky community.
"The Lube and Cedar Point are two brands that Americans know and love, and we are thrilled to bring our Best Wings USA to The Roller Coaster Capital of the World," said Greg Lippert, president and chief executive officer, Quaker Steak & Lube. "Partnering with such a great amusement park will allow us to expand our presence in Ohio and gain valuable knowledge on the tourism industry, and we are looking forward to continued success in the Buckeye State."
Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, is the largest amusement park in the world with 72 rides, including 17 roller coasters, three kids' areas, live shows, restaurants, hotels and a mile-long sandy beach, said Chris Miller, vice president of food and beverage for Cedar Point.
"At Cedar Point, our goal is to provide our guests with the best food options during their visit to the park and we are confident that Quaker Steak & Lube is the perfect addition to our restaurant lineup," he said. "We're excited to have a brand with over 40 years in the restaurant industry join our park, and look forward to seeing our guests enjoy The Lube’s fun environment and Award-Winning wings."
