Restaurant Association's ProStart program expands to 49th state

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation announced today that Kentucky is the 49th state to join its ProStart Program.

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation announced today that Kentucky is the 49th state to join its ProStart Program.

ProStar is a two-year career technical education program for high school students that teaches culinary techniques and restaurant management principles and skills. The curriculum also includes real-life restaurant sector experiences.

Students who complete the program earn the ProStart National Certificate of Achievement. Students who receive the certificate are eligible for NRAEF scholarship opportunities and course credits at hospitality and culinary arts colleges and universities.
