Potbelly Sandwich Shop to open in Northwest Rochester

Potbelly Sandwich Shop will open its second Northwest Rochester, New York unit inside the Marketplace shopping plaza by late 2018, according to a press release. 

Franchisees Kirk and Kim Gordon, who are in charge of the Downtown Rochester location, will also own and operate the Northwest Rochester location. 

"The love and support we have seen from the community has been outstanding and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring another location to the Rochester neighborhood for local fans," Kim said. "With the success of our first shop that we launched five years ago, bringing another location to Rochester was a strategic move that made sense for both Kirk and I and the Potbelly brand."

Franchisees operate more than 50 shops in the United States and abroad, and Potbelly plans to continue franchise growth in 2018.

"We've been very impressed with what the Gordon's have accomplished in Rochester," said Jeff Welch, senior vice president of development for Potbelly Sandwich Shop. "They were the sixth Potbelly franchise location and have served as a strong addition to Potbelly since opening five years ago."
