Potbelly going to Memphis

Potbelly Sandwich Shop has signed an agreement to bring four shops to Memphis and the surrounding suburbs. The first will open by the end of the year in Olive Branch, Mississippi, according to a company press release.

"I wanted to bring a restaurant here that complements the local Memphis vibe, and it was clear Potbelly is the perfect match for the funky qualities that make the area so unique," said Franchisee Fabian Nelson. "The Mid-South region is on the move, and bringing Potbelly shops to the area is part of that positive progression. I'm ready to serve an existing base of local Potbelly lovers, and create new fans in my adopted city, so stop by for lunch soon to enjoy good vibes, great food and meet a grateful Potbelly owner."

Potbelly Sandwich Shop first opened in Chicago in 1977, and operates more than 400 shops across the United States. Franchisees operate more than 35 shops in the United States and abroad, and Potbelly plans to continue franchise growth in 2017.
