Potbelly expanding with 18 franchises

Potbelly Corp. has signed agreements with existing franchisees to open 18 locations in Florida, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina. The expansion is driven by franchisee reinvestment, building on Potbelly's Franchise Growth Acceleration Initiative launched in 2022.

"Our franchisees' success is driving this growth," Lynette McKee, SVP of Franchising for Potbelly, said in a company press release.

Franchisees include:

• Ron Asmar (RTA Restaurant Group): four locations in Tampa, Florida (total of 18)
• Shari Nasir and Imran Malik (Sugarland Investment Group): six locations in Orlando, Florida (total of 12)
• Rob Wilbern (I'm A Wreck LLC): four locations in St. Louis, Missouri (adding to five in Springfield).
• Shakti Patel (MSS Fort Liberty): three non-traditional locations at Fort Liberty Army Base in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Potbelly has over 425 locations.
