Potbelly CEO and Chairman Aylwin Lewis will step down later this year, according to a company press release.
"We are grateful for Aylwin's leadership during his nine-year tenure at Potbelly. We appreciate his vast contributions," Peter Bassi, the lead director of Potbelly Corp., said in a company press release. "He is a world-class restaurant leader and Potbelly benefited from his leadership. We have started the search process for a new CEO."
Lewis said he has enjoyed his time and experience at Potbelly.
"Potbelly has a special place in the hearts of our customers and it will always have a special place in my heart as well," he said in the release. "I look forward to seeing Potbelly continue to grow as one of the nation's premier fast casual restaurant destinations."
