Pork & Mindy's launching two Chicago restaurants this year

Pork & Mindy’s is getting ready to open two stand-alone locations in Chicago this year.

One will be in Chef/Owner Jeff Mauro's hometown, Elmwood Park, and the other will be in Old Irving Park, according to a press release.

Once those stores open, the bbq concept, founded in 2016 in Chicago’s Bucktown, will have six restaurants in the Chicago area. It also has outposts in Denver and Minneapolis and is getting ready to launch inside 28 Mariano grocery stores.

Mauro is the season seven winner of Food Network's "Food Network Star." He also hosts "Sandwich King" and co-hosts "The Kitchen" on the Food Network.
