California-based Plant Power Restaurant Group LLC has raised $7.5 million to help its seven-unit fast food brand, Plant Power Fast Food, expand via corporate unit development.

"We're thrilled to have been able to develop key strategic partnerships that open up a range of new financing opportunities as we continue to execute on our growth strategy," co-founder and co-CEO Zach Vouga said in a company press release.

The Plant Power Restaurant Group also added Sebastien Koechli to its board of directors. Koechli is the director of Mergers & Acquisitions at Fusion Ventures, which led the funding.

"Sebastien brings an extraordinary level of corporate finance experience to the team," Ed Harm, Plant Power's CFO, said in the release. "His strong acumen and ability to provide to counsel is something we really needed as we look ahead and work towards some important milestones."

Eat Beyond Global Holdings, Batta Foods and Aileen Getty as well as individual investors also contributed to the funds raised.
