PizzaRev has opened the first of three restaurants planned for the Columbus, Ohio-area, according to a company press release. The first store to open is located at 1607 N. High St. on the Ohio State University campus at the Gateway Center.
The expansion of PizzaRev in Columbus is led by franchise owners Thomas Pilbeam and Jack Thompson, who add PizzaRev to a portfolio of 28 Denny's restaurants across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Additional PizzaRev locations are already under development in Gahanna and Dublin, Ohio.
"The very first PizzaRev opened just outside California State University, Northridge, and the connection we built with the students and faculty was a big part of our success," said Nicholas Eckerman, co-founder and president of PizzaRev. "We've already received a warm welcome from the OSU community and we're looking forward to working with our franchise partners to bring the PizzaRev-olution to Columbus."
The Ohio debut follows the recent entrance of Pizza Rev into Nevada and New York. The company will open its first Massachusetts, Tennessee and Mexico locations before the end of the year, as well. There are currently more than 150 PizzaRev restaurants in various stages of development across the U.S. and Mexico.
