PizzaRev opens 1st international location

The new location, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, is the first of 20 PizzaRev restaurants to be developed by Grupo Galeria in Mexico City and the states of Mexico, Nuevo Leon and Coahuila.

Fast casual pizza chain PizzaRev has announced that it will open its first international franchise store on April 28 in Mexico.

The new location, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, is the first of 20 PizzaRev restaurants to be developed by Grupo Galeria in Mexico City and the states of Mexico, Nuevo Leon and Coahuila.

A second location is already under development in San Pedro Garza Garcia, in Nuevo Leon state.

Grupo Galeria owns and operates an extensive restaurant portfolio throughout Mexico, including 42 Carl's Jr., four Buffalo Wild Wings and five IHOP restaurants, as well as a food distribution center.

Last December, PizzaRev signed a second development agreement with Antonio G. Perez Lete and Jose Antonio Perez Lete for further Mexico expansion to include 20 additional PizzaRev locations across the states of Nayarit, Colima, Jalisco and Aguascalientes.

The "Craft Your Own" pizza concept continues to expand nationally with support from partner Buffalo Wild Wings Inc., which made an equity investment in PizzaRev in 2013 and increased its stake in 2014.

PizzaRev has been named one of "10 Brands to Watch" by CNBC and No. 16 in the Fast Casual "Top 100 Movers and Shakers."

The company operates 33 locations with more than 150 additional franchises under development in Mexico, Washington, D.C. and 16 states and is seeking franchise partners in the U.S. and abroad, a ccording to the release.
