PizzaRev, Beyond Meat partner on plant-based sausage topping

Pizza brands are pouring on the plant-based love this week, with Canada's Pizza Pizza launching what it said is the "first all plant-based" pie Monday, and now PizzaRev announcing it has joined with plant-based "meat" maker, Beyond Meat, to offers vegans, vegetarians, flexitarians and occasional meat-skippers its plant-based Italian Sausage Crumbles as free toppings for PizzaRev pies. 

"We're always on the lookout for new ways to bring PizzaRev fans the best and most innovative products," PizzaRev CMO Renae Scott, said in the release. "That's why we're excited to partner with Beyond Meat, a brand that is committed to top-quality, delicious plant-based options." 

Late last year, PizzaRev announced a partnership with Caulipower that enabled the fast casual concept to offer cauliflower pizza crust at its U.S. stores. The brand also offers the vegan cheese topping called Daiya on its menu. 

PizzaRev has 39 stores in nine states currently.
