Pizza Studio, a fast casual pizza category, will open its doors to the public today, Thursday, April 23 in Dupont Circle at 1333 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington, D.C.
Co-founders Samit Varma and Ron Biskin celebrate the area's first location by giving away free pizza to customers from 11-2 pm and 5-8 pm on April 23. Guests can design an 11-inch pizza of their choice, using any of the restaurant's crusts, sauces, cheeses, and seasonings. Toppings include more than 35 ingredients ranging from nitrate-free pepperoni, spicy pork sausage, sweet chicken sausage, smoked ham, and an assortment of fresh and roasted vegetables, the company said in an announcement.
Guests that signs up for Pizza Studio's loyalty program on April 23 are eligible to win 1 of 100 giveaway prizes. Five randomly selected winners will receive free pizza every week for a year (52 total). Other prizes include $100, $50 and $25 gift cards and a free pizza on a return visit, the company said.
Additionally, for every pizza made on April 23, Pizza Studio will donate $2 to the Capital Area Food Bank, an organization that feeds the hungry in the region, and that educates the community about the issues of hunger and nutrition.
