&pizza portal 'takes it to the people'

&pizza has launched its latest virtual exercise in taking it to the people, via its Pizza World virtual portal on the &pizza website.

A news release said the portal gives customers an opportunity to not only order the pies they most cherish, but also suggest new flavors based on their previous orders. The company said key portal features include:

• Streamlined ordering and delivery processing.
• Ongoing category additions that highlight must-try items.
• Algorithm functions that measure past diner behavior to recommend new items.
• Exclusive menu items including Hot Knots and the Kalamata Harris pie.

&pizza is based in Washington, D.C., and most of its locations are situated in the northeastern U.S.
