The virtual restaurant company, @Restaurants, which launched Pizzaoki — the delivery-only concept created in LA by DJ Steve Aoki — has created a way for pizza lovers to find peer-rated pizza joints in the United States and Canada. Specifically, thanks to @Pizza via Instagram, Uber Eats customers looking for trustworthy pizza recommendations may view and order from a list of top-rated restaurants in their locations.
How it works
"I'm always on the lookout for the best pizza in any city when I'm away from home," @Restaurants Founder Lawrence Vavra said in a company press release. "I'm eager to bring @Pizza to life through this curated restaurant concept with F*ckJerry and Uber Eats, who have both been compiling the best dining options for years."
@Restaurants' model allows local restaurants to use the @Pizza to help them gain access to new customers in their areas, according to the release.
Partnering restaurants also have access to a high-value marketing campaign from @Restaurants as well as exposure to the media empire and expansive audience built by F*ckJerry — an Instagram account known for its aggregation of online content and Internet memes — Vavra said.
"I've always had a passion for pizza and this is a unique way to share it with others," F*ckJerry Founder Elliot Tebele said in the release.
@Pizza will live permanently in the Uber Eats app alongside other restaurants on the platform. When customers place an order, Uber Eats will handle deliveries.
"We're thrilled to launch @Pizza exclusively on Uber Eats, said Stephane Ficaja, head of Uber Eats in the U.S. & Canada. "This partnership gives us another meaningful opportunity to showcase and support local restaurants — something we've been acutely focused on over the last year."
@Pizza has partnered with hundreds of pizza restaurants nationwide to allow them to deliver in the United States and Canada via Uber Eats.
