Pizza Hut makes major deal for 300 new European restaurants

Pizza Hut is beefing up its presence in central and eastern Europe with a deal to open more than 300 restaurants in the region over the next five years, according to a news release. The deal was made with AmRest Holdings SE, which currently runs 80 Pizza Hut restaurants in Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic. 

AmRest is a master franchisee, so the company can own, develop and sub-franchise Pizza Hut restaurants in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

"We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with AmRest and open the door for rapid development in Central and Eastern Europe," said Pizza Hut Europe General Manager Natalia Barsegiyan. "AmRest’s expertise in the region and experience as a Pizza Hut operator will help us bring the Pizza Hut brand to millions of consumers who currently don't have access to our products."

Pizza Hut has more than 700 restaurants on the European Continent in 24 countries. Worldwide the chain has more than 16,000 restaurants in 102 countries.
