Washington, D.C.-based &pizza will open its first West Coast location at the Rio Hotel & Casino in spring 2026, marking a significant geographic expansion for the brand.

The move into the Las Vegas market follows the brand's launch of a national franchising strategy in March. The Rio location will be owned and operated by the resort as part of its ongoing dining renovation.

"Entering dynamic markets like Las Vegas is key to making our expansion goal happen," Mike Burns, CEO of Latitude Food Group, the holding company for &pizza, said in a company press release. "Partnering with a legendary resort like Rio Hotel & Casino positions &pizza among other forward-thinking brands."

The brand, founded in 2012, has gained a following for its "unconventional" approach to pizza, featuring long, oval-shaped pies and a high-energy atmosphere. Signature menu items include "The Farmer's Daughter" and "Moonstruck," alongside provocative limited-time offerings like the "Dickle" pizza.

The announcement caps a year of major corporate shifts for the company, which recently reorganized its menu, lowered prices and acquired the Southeast-based fast-casual Mexican chain Tijuana Flats.

In addition to the Las Vegas debut, &pizza has signed franchise agreements for 12 restaurants across Orlando, Atlanta, Charleston and Raleigh. The brand operates across the East Coast, including Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

"The brand's creative approach to fast-casual dining aligns well with our focus on expanding bold, guest-driven food and beverage offerings," Patrick Miller, president and CEO of Rio Hotel & Casino, said in the release.
