Pita Pit USA is expanding its presence in Alaska with two locations in Wasilla and Palmer, led by franchisee Kaleb Crawford, who spent several years managing health-care foodservice operations in Alaska.
"Pita Pit has been a go-to option for fresh and flavorful dining in Alaska, and I'm thrilled to bring the brand even closer to the Wasilla and Palmer communities," Crawford said in a press release. "These are rapidly growing areas, and we're excited to introduce even more Alaskans to the customizable, health-forward options that make Pita Pit unique."
Pita Pit's menu features pitas, a variety of bowls and build-your-own options. New additions include the Greek Grilled Cheese, a Mediterranean twist on the American dish, available in Chicken Club, Athens Steak, Athens Chicken, Cowboy Steak and Say Cheese.
"We're proud to expand our footprint in Alaska and further cement our place as a leader in the fast-casual dining space," Peter Riggs, president and CEO of Pita Pit USA, said in the release. "Kaleb's extensive experience in foodservice and deep connection to the Alaskan market make him the ideal partner to help us bring the Pita Pit experience to even more communities in the state."
Pita Pit is seeking single-unit and multi-unit franchisees. Its drive-thru model, launched in November 2024, allows franchise partners more real estate options. The smaller footprint of about 800-1000 square feet can fit a variety of layouts and accommodate more delivery and pick-up orders, reduced the breadth of financial commitments, Riggs said.
Headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Pita Pit USA has 68 locations.
