Pincho Factory launches franchise efforts

Miami burger concept Pincho Factory hopes to pioneer a streamlined, transparent franchising process.

October 16, 2014

Miami burger concept Pincho Factory announced plans to launch into franchising.

"We took a very hard look at the industry, and found that the biggest pain points that franchisees encounter are issues with marketing fees and product markups. We solved one and got rid of the other," said CEO Nedal Ahmad in a company press release.

Franchise highlights:

  • Areas will be protected, with a 6-mile buffer between stores.
  • Franchisees will be charged a 2 percent marketing fee that will be applied toward supporting community marketing efforts.
  • Franchise fees are 5 percent fees on royalties, 2 percent fees on marketing and a $20,000 fee upon signup.
  • A portion of franchise fees will be donated to Feeding South Florida.
  • Franchisees will receive all of the costs and contracts that have been negotiated in the past on the price of goods, so no side deals will be made via third party purchasing.

"We didn't feel entitled to a percentage of the franchisees purchases in exchange for a few weeks of negotiations with our suppliers. The more tools we give our partners to succeed, the more successful we are as a brand and company" said Nedal.

Pincho Factory currently has two locations at 9860 SW 40th Street, Miami and 30 Giralda Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida. The third location is currently under construction in Hialeah, Florida.
