Technomic has awarded Pieology Pizzeria the number one spot in its annual top 500 chain restaurant report for sales and unit change. Technomic, a consulting and research firm serving the food industry, reported Pieology is the fastest growing limited service restaurant chain. The fast casual pizzeria more than tripled both sales and unit growth in 2014, according to the announcement.

Pieology is the first fast casual, build-your-own pizza concept to make the ranking in Technomic's top 500 study of the nation’s largest brands.

"Pieology Pizzeria hits all the right notes of a growing fast casual concept: quality ingredients, speedy service and good value," the report said.
