Pie Five to open first AZ location

Pie Five Pizza announced it will open its first Arizona location Friday.

Pie Five Pizza announced it will open its first Arizona location Friday in Scottsdale at 14601 N. Scottsdale Road across the street from The Shane Company.

"At Pie Five, we're passionate about creating an experience for our guests,"" said Blake Henderson, general manager of the new Pie Five in Scottsdale. "Our concept is perfect for the active lifestyles of Scottsdale residents. Everything from our hand-cut veggies to our homemade desserts can make customers feel good about what you're eating at Pie Five."

The order and discipline needed to run a business won't be a new practice for Henderson, the release stated. As a retired-third generation Marine, he has a long history of serving his community. In addition to his role at Pie Five, Henderson is a volunteer with the Wounded Warriors Project.

Pie Five will donate 50 percent of all pre-event proceeds to Business United for Scottsdale Schools (BUSS) initiative. The BUSS mission is to enhance Scottsdale's schools through collaborative initiatives with the local business community, the releases stated. Pie Five will present BUSS with a check and welcome representatives from the Scottsdale Area Chamber at the opening day ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.

Dallas-based Pie Five Pizza Co. is a subsidiary of RAVE Restaurant Group Inc. RAVE owns, franchises and supplies more than 300 Pie Five and Pizza Inn restaurants operating domestically and internationally.
