Pie Five Pizza will open its second Lexington, Kentucky-area location Friday.

Pie Five Pizza will open its second Lexington, Kentucky-area location Friday. The new store is located at 867 S. Broadway, near the University of Kentucky, according to a company press release. The first 50 guests on opening day will receive a free pizza and T-shirt.

"I'm excited to bring local residents the kind of pizza experience they deserve!" said Mark Mehrizi, local Pie Five franchise partner. "As a Lexington native, I can confidently say that Pie Five is changing the pizza landscape and the way people think about, artisan-style, customized pizzas that are served in under 5 minutes."

During VIP events, the new Pie Five will be hosting the Lexington Police Department and other first responders. Proceeds from soft opening events will go to further support the Dance Blue Kentucky Childrens' Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic. In addition, Kentucky Sports Radio will help Pie Five award $5,000 in charitable gifts as a follow-up to last year's GoodGiving Challenge.
