Chicagoans will have more pizza options when Pie Five opens its sixth area location.
August 21, 2015
Pie Five Pizza will open its sixth Chicagoland location on Aug. 28, at 359 South IL Route 83, which is on the corner of Route 83 and St. Charles Road, in Elmhurst.
"We know Chicagoans take their pizza seriously, and we're honored by the great support we've received thus far from this pizza powerhouse city," said Randy Gier, CEO of Rave Restaurant Group, in a company press release. "At Pie Five, we're passionate about farm fresh ingredients, handcrafted crust variety and creating an experience that really wows our guests. I'm thrilled that Chicago loves it!"
Half of pre-opening day proceeds will be donated to Loaves & Fishes, a food pantry that feeds more than 600 families per week in DuPage County, according to the release.
The Pie Five model allows patrons to top pizzas any way they wish for one price. The pizza is baked in 145 seconds in a custom-designed oven. Customers have the option of four crusts (artisan thin, classic pan, whole grain Neapolitan and gluten-free), seven sauces and 28 fresh toppings. Additionally, customers can add a salad served in a baked pizza dough bowl or a brownie or cookie pie.
Pie Five plans to open 500 company-owned and franchised units across the country in the next five years. Pie Five has 58 locations in 16 states and the District of Columbia.
