Pie Five Pizza is coming to Memphis. The chain announced plans to open up to seven Pie Five locations in the Memphis area.

Pie Five Pizza is coming to Memphis. The chain announced plans to open up to seven Pie Five locations in the Memphis area. Franchise owner Rob Byford and his partner Michael Jett are both originally from the Memphis area, according to a company press release.

"We're both so excited to bring Pie Five to our hometown!" Byford said. "We look forward to introducing the area to this new pizza experience. We offer fresh, wholesome ingredients that are perfect for families and people looking for good food served fast."

Byford and Jett have over 20 years' experience in the restaurant business. Byford currently owns a Pie Five store in Benton, Arkansas, and plans to open up to eight more locations in the Arkansas market. He also owns three Slim Chickens locations in central Arkansas. He plans to start with the counties of Shelby, Fayette, Hardeman, McNairy, Tipton, Haywood, Lauderdale, Crockett and Dyer in Tennessee, the release stated.

"We're changing the way people eat pizza," said Randy Gier, CEO of Rave Restaurant Group Inc, parent company of Pie Five Pizza Co. "Everything from our hand-cut veggies to our homemade desserts can make guests feel good about what they're eating at Pie Five - we're passionate about creating an experience that really wows our guests."
