Pepper Lunch, a Japanese-born fast casual concept with over 500 locations in 15 countries, has enhanced its menu after a 10-month review.
The updates, which focus on flavor and value, include:
- More beef in The Beef Pepper Rice. It now has 11% more beef, with no added cost to the franchisee or guest.
- Serving only Certified Angus beef.
- A focus on sustainably, including chicken sourced from sustainable practices, larger, pre-cooked shrimp and hand-cut salmon filets.
- Switching to a miso soup provider to bring a richer, more authentic Japanese quality to this side.
- Optimized steak selection to focus on cut, quality and price.
- Enhanced safety and flavor in Hamburg steak.
- Replacing bean sprouts with shredded cabbage and Brussels sprouts mix.
- Removal of less-popular offerings, such as eel and scallops.
- Sides and combo options.
"These updates are a thoughtful, strategic step toward strengthening the brand's promise of offering a unique and high-quality dining experience," Pepper Lunch CEO Troy Hooper said in a company press release. "Whether it's the improved quality of our meats or the introduction of sustainable sourcing practices, every change has been made with our guests and team in mind."
