Pepper Lunch, a fast casual Japanese teppan brand, opened its first New York City location, at 243 West 54th Street, on March 21.
Owned by Pepper Food Service Co., which also owns steakhouse chain Ikinari Steak, Pepper Lunch offers a 'cook-your-own meal’ experience, according to a press release.
The brand was founded in 1994 and now has 470 locations in 16 countries. It launched in the U.S. in 2018 with a Los Angeles store. It plans to open locations in Houston, Texas and Las Vegas this year.
