Penn Station East Coast Subs will open four units this year in the Nashville market. Located in Tullahoma, Shelbyville, Madison and Dickson, the units will join seven others in the Nashville and Bowling Green area: one in Bowling Green, two in Murfreesboro, one in Hendersonville, one in Clarksville, one in Hermitage and one in Bellevue. All are owned by NV Ventures, which purchased the restaurants earlier this year and plans to open an additional three to four restaurants each year moving forward to fill out the market, focusing on growing from the outer parts of the market in toward the city of Nashville, according to a company press release.
"We plan to grow rapidly and build out the Penn Station brand in the Nashville market over the next few years," Jason Day, managing owner of the Nashville restaurants, said in the release. "We have a great team in place to oversee the growth and strong financials, so we are ready to keep opening three to four new restaurants each year. Nashville is one of the hottest markets in the country right now and relatively close to Penn Station's home base of Cincinnati, so we think this can be a really strong market for the brand."
The restaurants in Tullahoma (1609 Jackson St.) and Shelbyville (1735 Main St.) will open this month. The Madison location (143 South Gallatin Pike) will open in November, and the Dickson unit (404 Dickson Highway 46 South) is scheduled to open in early December.
Founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1985, Penn Station has over 310 locations in 15 states.
