Pei Wei refreshes menu, design, app

After being acquired in 2019 by West Coast Capital, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen has been busy with enhancements to the menu, growth and technology of the brand. Its partnership with Celebrity Chef Jet Tila, for example, has helped reinvent the menu with a wide variety of pan-Asian flavors, including the top-selling Firecracker Chicken. More dishes will join the lineup this year, including Firecracker Chicken Nachos, which have Firecracker sauce, wonton chips, house-ground chicken, Sriracha mayo, red bell peppers and scallions, according to a company press release.

The chain is also incorporating a fresh design in 15 locations opening this year, has upgraded its website and is creating a more user-friendly app. Features include a variety of loyalty rewards, the ability to save and recall recent and favorite orders and the option to purchase and add gift cards.

Pei Wei operates nearly 200 units throughout the US.
