PDQ Restaurants taps Waitr for delivery

Florida-based PDQ Restaurants — which serves chicken tenders and sandwiches, sauces and hand-spun shakes — is offering delivery in select Florida markets via Waitr Holdings Inc., an online ordering technology platform, providing delivery, carryout and dine-in options.

"PDQ shares our values at Waitr; they understand how important it is to give back to the communities that support them," Carl Grimstad, CEO and Chairman of Waitr said in the release. "It's this philosophy, not to mention PDQ being one of the top restaurant chains in Florida, that makes this such an exciting, symbiotic business relationship."

Waitr and PDQ, which has nearly 60 locations in Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and South Carolina, have each been involved with the Second Harvest Food Bank. PDQ donated $20,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida last October, while Waitr worked with the Louisiana Second Harvest Food Bank in Lafayette and New Orleans on a Holiday Food Drive that resulted in the delivery of 1,200 meals to those in need and a $10,000 check from Waitr to the food bank.
