Paris Baguette, the French-inspired bakery cafe brand, with more than 4,000 international units and nearly 90 in the U.S., has signed 84 agreements in the first half of the year and is on track to exceed 100 franchise agreements by the end of 2021, according to a company press release.
"As we close in on our 100th franchise agreement ahead of schedule, we're excited by the momentum this brand has," Darren Tipton, CEO, said in the release. "It shows that the brand is not just strong, but poised to take off like a rocket."
Mark Mele, chief development officer for Paris Baguette, said the brand has also secured several area development signings this quarter, including Las Vegas, Atlanta, Boston, and Cincinnati.
"This is already shaping up to be our best year on record for store growth," Mele said in the release. "The speed at which we're able to sign agreements is a testament to the strength not only of the Paris Baguette brand but its operational model as well."
Paris Baguette plans to open 1,000 locations by 2030. The brand launched in 2005.
"Smart, strategic expansion is our goal for Paris Baguette," Mele said in the release. "We're growing quickly, but we're also growing strategically. We are going to locations where people have an interest in and demand for our business, both new owners and customers."
