Instead of forcing restaurants to rely on complex spreadsheets and manual data analysis, PAR Technology has created an artificial intelligence tool, PAR AI, to help automate and streamline daily operations.

PAR AI is an intelligence layer built directly into its core technology suite, spanning point-of-sale, back office and loyalty platforms. The first product under the new umbrella is Coach AI, an intelligent assistant created to give restaurant leaders, area coaches and managers instant insights, said Savneet Singh, CEO of PAR Technology.

"We're going AI native, embedding it into everything we do," he said in a company press release. "It's not about building tools anymore — it's about owning the workflows to drive new outcomes within existing processes. The result? Automation that's not just efficient, but intelligent."

Unlike typical add-on AI tools, PAR AI-powered features are embedded into existing workflows, meaning no new apps or technical training are needed.

Users may ask simple, natural language questions to pull live data from across the business, eliminating the manual effort of combining data from various systems, helping managers save time and make faster decisions.

Charter Foods, a beta user of Coach AI, has already seen the benefits.

"Coach has eliminated the need for spreadsheets, streamlining our operations significantly," John Rankin, a senior director at Charter Foods, said in the release. "With Coach AI, we're now on track to replace traditional business intelligence tools and ad hoc reports, entering a new era of intelligent, real-time decision-making."

Future capabilities under the PAR AI suite will include a marketing intelligence assistant for real-time campaign analytics, voice-enabled ordering and proactive recommendations to improve operations.
