Panera signs area development agreements with existing franchisees

RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Mo. — Panera Bread is proving to the restaurant world it's not finished expanding.
The St. Louis bakery café recently announced area development agreements with several existing franchisees. According to a news release, the agreements were signed for expansion in New York, New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida
Doherty Breads LLC, which currently operates 12 bakery-cafes in Long Island, N.Y., signed a new development agreement for 12 additional bakery-cafes in the markets of Staten Island and Brooklyn.
Covelli Family Limited Partnership, which currently operates 26 bakery-cafes in Orlando, signed a new development agreement for an additional eight bakery-cafes to be located there.
Fenwick Group LLC, which currently operates 30 bakery-cafes in northern New Jersey, amended its existing development agreement to include an additional three bakery-cafes there.
Show Me Bread LLC, which currently operates 11 bakery-cafes in the Winston-Salem/Highpoint market in North Carolina, amended its existing development agreement to include an additional three bakery-cafes there.
Take Home the Bread LLC, which currently operates five bakery-cafes in the Westchester/Rockland market in New York, amended its existing development agreement to include an additional two bakery-cafes in the Bronx.
Panera Bread operates 897 bakery-cafes (319 company-owned and 578 franchised).
