Panera expects more store growth in 2009

St.LouisToday.com: Panera Bread Co. plans to open as many as two locations a week in 2009, said CEO Ronald Shaich. The company also has plans to open 70 to 90 stores this year, Shaich said Wednesday in a telephone interview with Bloomberg News. The stores operate under the St. Louis Bread Co. name in the St. Louis area.
