Panera expects 2Q profit increase

Associated Press: Panera Bread Co. on Wednesday said it expects its second-quarter profit to grow between 7 percent and 16 percent on improved same-store sales.Panera expects system-wide same-store sales at its bakery-cafes to grow between 3.5 percent and 4.5 percent and system-wide average weekly sales of $38,500 to $39,500.
