Panera customers 'charging up' on longest day of year

Provided

June 15, 2022

The longest day of the year — June 21— is the beginning of the "Summer Slump," a phrase coined for the season where over 25% of workers feel a decline in productivity. Panera, however, is giving guests the opportunity to win its Charged Up Cup, a vessel for the chain's Charged Lemonades that doubles as a portable phone charger.

"We wanted to find the perfect way to give our customers an extra charge ahead of the longest day of the year," Drayton Martin, VP of brand building, said in a company press release. "Our new Charged Lemonades have been a huge success for those looking for a clean caffeine alternative, and we are excited to offer customers a way to get the ultimate "charge" both for their bodies and their phones."

Panera's Charged Lemonades are fueled by clean caffeine from Guarana and green coffee extract and come in three flavor combinations: Strawberry Lemon Mint, Fuji Apple Cranberry and Mango Yuzu Citrus. Each 20-ounce lemonade has the same amount of caffeine as Panera's 20-ounce Dark Roast coffee.

Customers may visit PaneraChargedUp.com for a chance to win a Charged Up Cup, and winners in NYC, Chicago, LA and St. Louis will receive theirs via personal deliveries on June 21.
