Panera Bread to change operations stratgy

Chicago Tribune: Panera Bread Co. is going to change its sales-growth strategy in an attempt to get more cash from each customer, rather than just attracting more customers. The company is refering to the changes as a "paradigm evolution," which came after the chain lost its way in 2007 by blindly bringing more people to their stores, regardless of whether they wound up buying lower-margin items.
