Panera Bread locations in New Jersey may be the source of an E.coli outbreak under investigation by the state health department and Warren County Health Department. However, officials emphasized the fast casual eateries are only a "potential" source, according to a NJ.com report.
The report said that, according to FOX News, at least six cases are under investigation. FOX described the incidents as a "cluster" of cases in four counties, with a prime focus on Phillipsburg location, NJ.com said.
An E.coli outbreak can cause health issues ranging from minor to serious. One of the most notable recent outbreaks, involving Chipotle, occurred three years ago.
