Pancheros planning 70 new locations

Pancheros Mexican Grill has rounded out 2013 with eight new location openings and 10 lease signings, according to a company press release. Contributing to a system-wide sales volume increase of 17.2 percent, Pancheros broke ground in new and current markets, including Missouri, Iowa, New Jersey and Illinois.

"Sustainable, efficient growth is a priority every year at Pancheros," said Rodney Anderson, president of Pancheros Mexican Grill. "In 2013, our 21st year of operation, we were able to not only succeed in meeting our growth goals but did so in a strategic way thanks to our franchisees, vendors and partners across the country. Drawing on this momentum, we hope to make 2014 just as historic for the company."

Pancheros expects to open its doors in 16 new locations in 2014, starting with Connecticut and Michigan in the first and second quarter. Plans have been set to sustain expansion across the country, with Pancheros working toward 70 additional restaurant launches in the next five years, according to the release.
