Organic to Go acquires Scott's Gourmet Sandwiches

July 25, 2007

SEATTLE Organic To Go announced that it has acquired Scott's Gourmet Sandwiches, a downtown San Diego-based quick-serve restaurant comprised of two cafes and corporate catering business.

Terms of the purchase, closed July 20, 2007, were not disclosed.

The acquisition initiates San Diego as the fourth expansion region for Organic To Go, which operates seven cafes in Los Angeles; three cafes in Orange County, Calif.; five cafes in Seattle; and a corporate catering/delivery service as well as grab-and-go kiosks in all regions.

Scott's Gourmet Sandwiches has been serving downtown San Diego since 1995 and was founded by Darin Loesch, who will remain a key part of the Organic To Go leadership team in San Diego as the Senior Director of San Diego Operations, according to a news release.

All of Scott's Gourmet employees will be offered positions with Organic To Go, as well.
